Registration Process and comments (April 30, 2003 from Mike Defrenza)
Also refer to Redwood Soccer League for more details (redwoodsoccer.org)
Read front of registration package (distributed from Redwood registrar to club teams).
Registration forms from last year are valid forms. CYSA state
web site
has a list of all current forms. Please do not use old forms.
They
will be rejected.
Any player holding a 2002/2003 registration number or a spring
number
has a valid number for registration. Player's signatures are not
required on the registration form.
Adults must complete a new disclosure form for the Fall season.
Coaches must attach copy of license to disclosure form. If an
adult
serves a role on more than one team, a disclosure is require for
each
team.
The first two adults (coach and first asst. coach) are registered
online ONLY. Each additional registered adult must be listed on
the
adult add form(s). The team manager should go on the adult add
form
(some will also be entered online, e.g. manager).
Online registration ends June 30. You must have a printout
of your
online registration form to submit your package. Packages are
due in
Belmont by July 1. Check web site and registration package for
all
deadlines.
Eleven players minimum to register a team.
Abronzino league requests and online registration must be completed
by
June 13.
Photos: Show ears, hair and chin. No black and white. One photo
required, submit two if possible. Names on back in pencil.
No staples. Just slows down the registration process.
Medical clearance form is new. If a player uses any form of
medical
device (ACE bandage, knee brace, etc.)while playing, referee has
the
right to ask for a medical release signed by a doctor. Doctor's
note
is not sufficient.
Please do not contact Alysia directly and DO NOT bother her
at home.
Email club registrar to act on your behalf.
$30 per player made out to Redwood League. One check per team.
Post registration and miscellaneous comments.
When doing a player add form do not total the number of registered
players for the team. The registrar will do that.
A player release must include the player's card. If a player
is
released, they should assume they will not be playing again that
season.
Only three transfers are permitted onto a team. If a player
is release
and then wants to join another team, they must be transferred
back on
to the original team (counts as one transfer against the team
giving
up the player) and then transferred to the second team. A check
for $5
and the player pass must accompany the signed transfer. Check
to
CYSA
District 2 in this case.
Recommendation: In the case of a red card, the players pass
is given
to the referee. The probability of getting it back is greatly
increased if you also supply the referee with an addressed envelope
to
the party to which the referee will be submitting the card and
his/her
report. The address is on the state web site.
Getting travel paper for out of state travel is complicated.
Start
early and follow the process carefully.
Game cards will be distributed later, mostlikely with the returning
registration packages.
